JAMMU, Aug 28: The BSF today arrested three Bangladeshi nationals from the International Border in RS Pura sector when they were trying to exfiltrate to Pakistan.
Reports said the BSF observed movement of three suspicious persons on the International Border and alerted them. They were immediately arrested.
From their possession, one mobile telephone with two SIM cards, Rs 630 in Bangladesh currency and some coins were recovered. The BSF later handed over the Bangladeshi nationals to police.
SP Headquarters Romesh Kotwal said the Bangladeshis were being questioned on all angles. He said special police teams comprising SDPO RS Pura Sourabh Parashar and SHO Inspector Bishnesh Kumar were quizzing the foreign nationals, who have been booked under the Foreigners Act.
They will be sent to the Joint Interrogation Centre (JIC) later for sustained questioning including route taken by them to reach the border and motive behind exfiltration to Pakistan, Kotwal said.
Arrested Bangladeshi nationals have been identified as Mohammad Jahangir, 18, son of Sultan Mian, Mohammad Ali,18, son of Noor-ul-Haq and Abdul Kareem, 20, son of Abdul Tandem.
