JAMMU, May 25: Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Sukhnandan Kumar today conducted surprise inspection of Government Higher Secondary School Jhiri to review the functioning of the school.
During his visit, a deputation of class 11th students of GHSS Jhiri appraised him about the low pass percent of class 11th and expressed grave concern over the attitude of school authorities.
Taking a serious note of the issue raised by the students, the Minister said that he will direct Director School Education to conduct an inquiry into the matter to ascertain the facts and take action in this regard.
The Minister stressed on providing conducive environment in the schools for developing the personality of the students. He said that students should be motivated to channelizelise their energy in positive direction to realize their potential. He asked the school authorities to provide better facilities to the students.
