JAMMU, Nov 22: Former minister & MLA Marh, Ch Sukhnandan Kumar today inaugurated an additional block at Government Higher Secondary School Gole Gujral in Marh constituency, which was constructed at the estimated cost of Rs 40.00 lakh.
On the occasion, the MLA asked the school administration to make use of technological tools and resources, including computer and the internet to disseminate information among students.
On demand of the students of the school, the MLA also announced two computers for the school, out of his constituency development fund. He informed that a comprehensive plan has been formulated for the upgradation and expansion of basic infrastructural facilities to the people of the constituency. He also sought people’s co-operation in implementing the development programmes at ground level.
Ch Sukhnandan further said that he is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of Marh constituency, including road connectivity, electricity, health and above all education.
In another function, the former minister also started black topping of 1 km of road from Nai Basti to Bathoor, which was long pending demand of the locality.
Sr Advocate S Surinder Singh, ex Sarpanch Raj Kumar Sharma, S Harjiet Singh, officers of the concerned department and a number of people of the area were also present there.
