Dimple meets IGP, apprises him of traffic problem

JAMMU, Nov 22: A delegation of Jammu West Assembly Movement led by its president Sunil Dimple, today met IGP Traffic, Shafkat Ali Watali and apprised him of worst traffic scenario on Janipur-High Court Road.
The delegation met the IG when he visited Janipur area to take stock of traffic problem. Besides, Janipur area, the IGP Traffic also visited Amphalla, BC Road, New plot and Tali Morh, and met people from various sections to find out the ways and means to ease the traffic problem on the Janipur High Court Road.
After listening to various people and associations, Watali passed on the spot directions to the traffic officers to work with sincerity and stream line the traffic on the Janipur High Court Road.
Meanwhile, Sunil Dimple submitted a memorandum of demands to the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, through the IGP Traffic.
Through memorandum, Dimple demanded to start work on construction of already announced ring roads and circular roads to ease traffic in this winter capital of the State. He also demanded to construct flyovers from  Rehari Chungi to Jewel Chowk to reduce traffic congestion on BC Road.
He also demanded construction of the alternate circular road from Amphalla Manda to Bantalab passing through Janipur and widening of Jammu-Akhnoor Road. He also raised demand for the proper parking stands for the private vehicles in all the markets to avoid the jams.
Dimple further demanded Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to make Jammu city as a smart city as the Jammu has not been included in the lists of the smart cities.
