RAJOURI, July 18: A 22-year-old youth hailing from Chadoora area of Budgam district in Kashmir valley drowned in local river in Rajouri today.
Identified as Shafad Bilal, son of Bilal Ahmed Mir of Jhanjra in Chadoora, he was pursuing B.Sc Nursing at GMC Rajouri. He along with his friends had gone for bathing in Darhali river where he drowned. He was shifted to hospital by his friends, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
I/C Medical Superintendent GMC Hospital Rajouri, Dr Mehmood told that the body will be handed over to the family members after completion of medico-legal formalities. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
