136 bovines rescued

RAMBAN, July 18: In separate cases, Ramban Police rescued 136 bovine animals from different parts of the district.
“Acting on the specific inputs regarding transportation of bovine animals, different teams of Police Station Chanderkote and Police Station Ramsoo intercepted six different vehicles bearing registration numbers JK14B-8772, JK02AS-7981, JK02AR-8377, JK19-0062, JK02BJ-3785 and JK14B-8995 which were on their way from Jammu towards Srinagar, and on checking, 136 bovine animals were found loaded in these vehicles with utmost cruelty,” a police spokesman said.
He said without any arrangements of food and water, these bovine animals were being transported to valley without any valid permission of competent authority. “In this regard, four separate cases under FIR numbers 111/2022, 112/2022, 113/2022 and 114/2022 has been registered in Police Station Chanderkote and 2 cases under FIR number 78/2022 and 79/2022 registered in Police Station Ramsoo under relevant sections of law,” he added.
The overall rescue operation was made by police parties under the command of Inspector Padam Dev Singh (SHO Chanderkote) and Inspector Nayeem Ul Haq (SHO Ramsoo) under the supervision of Pardeep Singh Sen (Deputy SP HQ Ramban).
