Strengthen health care facilities at GMC, DH Anantnag: Koul

Srinagar, May 8: Bharatiya Janata Party General Secretary (BJP) (organization) Ashok Koul today urged the administration to strengthen the health care and ensure the availability of doctors in GMC, and District Hospital in Anantnag.
Addressing the workers at party workers, Koul who is on a four-day visit to Kashmir said that there is an immediate need to strengthen the health care facilities at GMC Anantnag and it will improve the overall health infrastructure in the area.
“It is pandemic people need health care facilities at any cost. There is a need that more doctors should be posted in both GMC Anantnag and District Hospital Anantnag so that people will get good health facilities at their doorsteps,” he said.
“Yesterday, Doctors Association Anantnag (DAA) had organized a webinar and they have given some suggestions regarding improving health facilities in Anantnag including beds, ventilators, etc. I appeal to LG administration to consider those demands and implement them soon on the ground level,” he said.
The senior leader said he is also of the opinion that it is a difficult time for all of us and greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-i-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr and stated that person should celebrate the upcoming festivals inside our homes for everyone’s safety.
“When the situation will improve, we can celebrate Shabi-Qadr, Eid-ul-Fitr in a much better way,” he said.
Koul appreciated the work of the party cadre during the past several months in the entire district and urged them to work with dedication on the ground regarding the Covid19 relief work.
Koul also inaugurated food ration kits distribution campaign in Srinagar and distributed food kits among the 100 distressed families.
