JAMMU, May 10: Activists of Shiv Sena Bala Saheb Thackeray today staged a protest demonstration demanding immediate removal of cash security and other conditions for organising Langars for pilgrims performing world famous Amaranth pilgrimage.
The protest was led by Shiv Sena State president, Dimpy Kohli and General Secretary, Manish Sahni wherein the protesters raised slogans in support of their demand.
They also demanded that the Governor should pave way to stop paying of Toll Tax by Amarnath pilgrims at Nagrota.
Addressing the protesters Manish Sahni demanded involvement of Hindu organizations in the Amarnath Shrine Board.
Shiv Sena also demanded that ration, gas cylinders and other food items should be provided to the organisers of Langars on subsidised rates.
The Shiv Sena leaders also said that they will meet Governor, Satya Pal Malik in this regard and will submit him a memorandum containing their demands. Harsh Kumar Gupta, Surjit Singh Chib, Ramesh Gupta, Raj Singh, Vikas Bakshi, Minakshi, Yashpal Khajuria and others were among protesters.
