JAMMU, Nov 23: District administration Jammu has ordered closure of a stone crusher at village Kharian of Tehsil Maira Mandrian for flouting water and air pollution norms.
Official sources said that Tehsildar Mamta Sudershan on the directions of higher authorities along with police party of Akhnoor Police Station on Wednesday visited M/S Jai Dev Stone Crusher situated at village Kharian of Tehsil Maira Mandrian and sealed the unit for violating pollution guidelines under section 25/26 of Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Sec 21 of Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
