Speaker, others appeal people to maintain calm, tranquillity

SRINAGAR, Aug  12: Speaker Legislative Assembly Mubarak Gul appealed to the people of State to maintain calm and tranquillity in the State.
He said that all the sections of the society have lived in peace and togetherness in the past and they have to live like brothers in the future also.
Mr. Gul said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir exhibit their commitment for peace, brotherhood, communal harmony and tolerance which is the trait of people of the State.
Minister of State for Information Technology, Power and Information has appealed the people to maintain peace and communal harmony so that the forces trying to disrupt the peaceful environs for their petty interests are defeated.
The Minister was addressing a large gathering of people, prominent citizens, social activists from Pogal Paristan, Maligam, Ukhral, Almbas, Kochak, Nagare, Tolshal, Ramsoo and Magarkote of the Ramban district at Ukhral here today.
Mr. Vikar said that the people of the State have always believed in mutual brotherhood and co-existence throughout the ages. He further appealed them to maintain peace so that the ulterior motives of the vested interests trying to create an environment of hatred and destruction are defeated.
The Minister said that the Government has already passed instructions to deal with the miscreants trying to formant trouble and people should also come forward and contribute their bit in ensuring that the peace is sustained.
Mr. Vikar also constituted peace forums and appealed them to ensure that they should work collectively in a synergized manner for ensuring communal harmony and sustaining peace.
Vice Chairman, J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Kissans and MLA Nowshera, Radhay Sham Sharma through a statement released here today appealed to the public help the administration for maintaining peace. He also called upon all the communities to maintain communal harmony and brotherhood.
Mr. Sharma also demanded for immediate disbursement of compensations to all the families who were affected in the unfortunate incident of Kishtwar.
