JAMMU, Oct 15: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Inder Singh Soodan of Ward number 44 here today started the construction work of a bridge between Sectors 11 and 12 of Guru Nanak Nagar.
As the nearby residents were suffering a lot for the last several years due to water of the Nallah entering their houses in rainy season damaging the household articles, they visited the Councillor Soodan who in turn took the issue with JMC authorities and ultimately funds were released for the work which was started today.
Speaking on the occasion Soodan said when completed, the bridge will solve many problems of the area.
He also assured the people of his Ward that the remaining works of the Ward will also be completed in phased manner.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were JMC field staff, S. Bhupinder Singh, S. Parminder Singh Sandhu, Mantu, Imran Dutta, Manjotpal Singh and Supervisor Imitiaz.
