RAJOURI, Jan 13: An Army jawan was electrocuted at a forward post in Nowshera sector today.
Police sources said that at around 10 am today, Sepoy Sanjeev Kumar of 63 RR received severe electric shocks from a live electric cable near Khadarian village located near the LOC in Nowshera sector. The jawan with serious injuries was rushed to nearby Unit hospital where he was declared as dead.
In a yet another incident of electric shock, one Mohd Alias, son of Ghulam Rasool, resident Thannamandi at present Kheora in Rajouri, was seriously injured. He was admitted to DH Rajouri. He was responding to treatment. The police said family members of the victim tried to damage hospital furniture alleging non-seriousness on the part of staff but SHO reached there and controlled the situation. The injured was responding to treatment.
