Srinagar, Dec 2: The recent fresh snowfall in the upper reaches of the Kashmir valley, especially Sonamarg, has left tourists awestruck.
The visitors were seen enjoying the breathtaking view of the tourist resort covered with a layer of snow, particularly cherishing moments of making snowmen.
Dr. Keyar, a tourist from Gujarat seen playing in the snow at Sonamarg, expressed that he experienced more than he had ever heard about Kashmir throughout his life.
He exclaimed, “We used to hear that Kashmir is heaven on earth; I can now say that it indeed is. We always wanted to come here, and we are very well getting to see heaven on earth.”
He mentioned that their group was fortunate to witness the snowfall, emphasizing that Kashmir in snow has surpassed their imaginations and exceeded expectations.
“We thoroughly enjoyed our trip; we played in the snow and even made a snowman, which we had only imagined throughout our lives,” he said, adding there is no need to go out of the country for vacations and for a better experience. “We have everything here in Kashmir.”
Discussing the locals and their assistance at every step, another tourist expressed that necessary items are easily available, and with the hospitality of the locals, the stay becomes even more comfortable.
“People can come here without bringing along anything as every item is available here. The people are more than hospitable, which made our trip even more beautiful. We encountered some issues, but with the help of the people, we were facilitated,” a tourist shared.
Another tourist, Komal from Mumbai, stated that coming to Kashmir is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, making her feel as if she is holidaying somewhere abroad.
“This is nothing less than heaven, and I just want to be here forever. It feels like we are somewhere abroad. People should visit Kashmir once in a lifetime. People here are helpful. Everything is available and seamless; we are pure-veg, and we did not face any difficulty at all,” she said.
