JAMMU, May 20: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) here today inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Punjab National Bank (PNB) to provide preferential educational loan services to all the students enrolling in the varsity.
The MoU was signed by Pankaj Kumar Verma, Circle Head Jammu, Punjab National Bank and Ajay Kumar Sharma, Registrar, SMVDU, in the presence of Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar.
The occasion was also graced by the presence of Prof. Balbir Singh, Dean Academic Affairs; Prof. Amit Kant Pandit, Chairperson, Admission Cell; Vivek Verma, D. Registrar (Legal) and Rahul Gupta, Assistant Registrar, from SMVDU along with Abhishek Mahajan, Branch Head, Katra and Rohit Sharma, Chief Manager PNB.
Under the agreement, PNB will extend preferential educational loan facilities to present and upcoming students admitted to the university every year. SMVDU will also display the Bank’s details on its official website and publicize the arrangement in its upcoming prospectus.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Pragati Kumar, said that SMVDU is committed to ensuring quality education in the region and making every possible effort to support students in their pursuit of academic and professional excellence.
Registrar, Ajay Kumar Sharma stated that the university looks forward for further cooperation with PNB in areas such as human resource training and other mutually beneficial initiatives.
