SRINAGAR, Jan 15: Stating that National Conference had offered the outside support to the PDP for Government formation in the larger interests of the State, National Conference general secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar today said that PDP is resorting to invalid excuses and lies as they are up for the formation of Government with their masters.
While addressing the District Working Committees meetings of Srinagar, Budgam, Anantnag and Kulgam at Nawa-e-Subah Complex here today Sagar said that PDP stood exposed now as they have geared up for tying up with their masters who founded and funded the party’s creation.
“We had offered unconditional support to Mufti Sayeed’s party for forming the Government without seeking to be a part of the Government, in the larger interests of the State and to protect the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, but PDP has made its mind to go with their handlers for Government formation,” Sagar told the members of District Working Committees, MLAs and in charge constituency candidates.
He said the lies and invalid excuses to which the PDP has resorted to hold no ground in real sense as National Conference had made it clear that it never wanted to be part of the Government with PDP.
“Even today NC lives in the hearts of the people. PDP’s efforts to spread canards among people against this party can’t overrule the reality,” he said and added “We stand by our commitment for complete autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir, for revoking AFSPA and resolving the long pending political issue of Kashmir through negotiations.”
He said no other political party in Kashmir can be alternative to NC as our party has firmly fought for the rights of the people and freed them from the autocratic rule for which most of our leadership was even jailed.
Others who attended the meeting include, MLAs – Altaf Ahmed Kaloo, Abdul Majeed Bhat, MLC Ali Mohammad Dar, Dr Bashir Ahmed Veeri, In-charge constituencies Showkat Ahmad Ganai, Riyaz Ahmed Khan, Ghulam Nabi Adgami, Imran Nabi Dar, Sheikh Mohd Rafi, Manzoor Ahmad Wani, Peer Afaaq, Irfan Ahmed Shah, Ex-MLC G N Shaheen, Sheikh Abdul Rehman, Showkat Ahmed Mir and concerned district and block presidents.
