SAMBA, Nov 21: MLA, Surjit Singh Slathia accompanied by District Development Commissioner R.K Varma today distributed cheques among 118 flood affected families whose houses and crops have been damaged during monsoon season at a public grievances redressal camp at Vijaypur.
While addressing a large gathering, Mr Slathia said that aim to organize this camp was to provide financial help to flood and rain hit families of Vijaypur block.
It was informed that similar types of camps will also be organized at Ramgarh, Pangdore, Bari Brahmana, Sarna and Samba very soon in order to distribute the relief cheques to the flood and rain affected families under SDRF.
Among others, Assistant Commissioner Revenue M.Y Malik, Sarpanchs, Panchs and a large number of people were present in the camp.
