SKUAST-J non-teaching employees to observe strike on Aug 21

JAMMU, Aug 19: Non Teaching Employees Association (NTEA) of the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology (SKUAST) Jammu has decided to go on one-day token strike on August 21 in protest against alleged insensitive attitude of the university authorities towards their long pending demands.
Decision in this regard was taken during a meeting of the Association, held today under the chairmanship of B N Singh at Main Campus Chatha.
Besides, NTEA also appealed the Governor and Chief Minister for their intervention to avoid any un-rest in the institution.
The meeting was attended by Zamir-ul-Haq (general secretary), K D Singh (senior vice-president, Rattan Lal ( vice president), Vimal Singh (secretary), Deepak Kumar (organizing secretary) Gursanjeevan Singh (joint secretary),Vijay Singh (publicity secretary), Manzoor Ahmed Khan (joint treasurer) and others.
