Srinagar, Dec 20: State Human Rights Commission Chairperson Justice Bilal Nazki, today visited Central Jail Srinagar, took cognizance of cases and directed Tehsildars to produce records.
A spokesperson of the JKSHRC said the Justice Nazki visited the Central Jail and took on spot cognizance in four cases titled Shakeel Ahmad son of Ghulam Qadir resident of Fatehkadal Srinagar, Irshad Ahmad, son of Mohammad Shafi Khan resident of Khanyar; Abdul Rashid Lone, son of Ali Mohammad Lone resident of Tailbal Srinagar and Mohammad Maqbool Langoo, son of Abdul Aziz Langoo of Nowpora Srinagar. They were in custody because of orders of Tehsildar South Srinagar, Kahanyar Srinagar, North Srinagar and Khanyar Srinagar passed under sections 107/151 CRPC and 109 CRPC.
While passing the orders, the Chairperson directed the concerned Tehsildars to produce the records pertaining to cases personally before the Commission on December 23.
