JAMMU, Dec 17: The activists of Shiv Sena, Bala Sahib Thackery held a demonstration against Mehbooba Mufti led State Government for granting Rs four lakh compensation to the family of Muzzaafar Wani here, today.
The protest was held on the instructions of Party State president Dimpy Kohli and senior leader Rakesh Gupta.
The protesters also torched the effigy of Chief Minister. The protest demonstration was led by party’s senior leader Radhey Radhey Ji Maharaj. While speaking on the occasion, Radhey Maharaj said that it is very unfortunate that State Government has given compensation to the family of militant Burhan Wani and has not given single penny to army men who sacrificed their lives to save the borders of country. He said that by giving compensation to the family of Burhan Wani Mehbooba Mufti Government has shown its real face that it is a sympathiser of militants. He said Shiv Sena strongly criticizes this move of the State Government. On the occasion Shiv Sainiks also disrupted the movement of vehicular traffic on the Jammu -Pathankot National Highway. Those who were present on the occasion were Manish Sahni, Raj Singh and others.
