JAMMU, July 5: Shiv Sena Bala SahibThakeray has demanded that the daily quota for registration of Amarnath yatris be increased at Jammu immediately as the pilgrims coming from different parts of the State were facing many hardships for registration.
This demand was made by Sena president Dimpy Kohli and other senior leaders Rakesh Gupta, G I Singh and Vikrant Kapoor while addressing the newly entrants in the Party from Rajouri district today.
They said that Sena has received many complaints from the yatris that they were facing problems for registration at Jammu as there is limited quota at Vaishnavi Dham, Saraswati Dham and Jammu Haat registration counters. They demanded that this quota be increased so that every yatri reporting for his registration for pilgrimage is accommodated.
They said the yatris standing in queues for days together don’t get registration is a cause of concern and the concerned agencies should take serious note of it. In an appeal to Shrine Board and the Nodal Officer for yatris they demanded to increase the daily quota.
The Sena leaders also lauded the services of the people who have established free langers for the yatris at Yatri Niwas and other places up to holy cave.
An adhoc Committee for Rajouri district of Sena was also constituted with Pishori Lal Sharma as its president.
