JAMMU, Jan 30: Shiv Sena (UBT) Jammu-Kashmir unit has demanded an extension of air-conditioned electric bus services under Smart City Scheme to religious and tourist places of Jammu.
Addressing a press conference, here today, Shiv Sena (UBT) state chief Manish Sahni said that more than eight months have passed since the e-bus service started in various areas of the Jammu city, but it is a matter of great surprise that this service is not available for religious and tourist places like Bawe Wala Mandir, Har Ki Poudi Mandir, Mahamaya, Tirupati Balaji etc.
“Rail service has reached Kashmir but the wait of the people in areas across Tawi regarding the air-conditioned and noise pollution free e-buses is not ending,” he said.
Sahni strongly criticising the working style of administrative officers and alleged that the outsiders sitting at high positions probably do not consider the areas across Tawi like Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Chhanni Himmat, Sainik Colony, Greater Kailash etc as part of Jammu city and do not feel it necessary to make them pollution free.
Sahni appealed the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, to issue instructions to provide e-bus service in the said areas with immediate effect.
