DODA, Jan 30: Police here today arrested an absconder who was evading arrest since the year 2017.
Official sources said that absconder Anooj Kumar, son of Sudesh Kumar, resident of Shaja, Doda was arrested in a case of FIR number 100/2017 registered under Section 435/RPC at Bhaderwah.
After completion of investigation, a Challan was produced in the Court and the accused was declared absconder for his continuous absence and warrant of arrest Under Section 512 Cr. PC was issued against him by the Court of CJM Doda.
On the directions of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta, a special Police team was constituted with cops from Police Station Bhaderwah and the team was led by Inspector Sandeep Parihar, SHO Bhaderwah and PSI Ankush Nagra.
After hectic efforts, the team arrested the absconder from Udhampur and produced him before the Court.
