JAMMU, May 3: Shiv Sena Bala Sahib Thackeray J&K unit has expressed concern over the mismanagement in COVID wards of Government Medical College Jammu and shortage of COVID related drugs and equipments in the market.
In a press conference here today, Shiv Sena J&K president, Manish Sahni said J&K LG should take a note of availability of beds and oxygen in COVID designated hospitals.
He claimed that condition of under treatment patients in hospitals is very pathetic as senior doctors are not present on the spot for most of the time while the doctors and nurses on duty are not in a position to provide prompt service.
“Even in an emergency they waste a lot of time in wearing PPE kit besides taking other necessary precautions which directly affects the survival of critical patients,” the Shiv Sena leader claimed.
He said, to get medicines, the attendants are forced to go out in the market again and again making them come in contact with others, thus increasing chances of virus spread.
“There is shortage of steamers, nebulizers, steroid injections, oximeters and other necessary drugs in the markets at reasonable price,” Sahni maintained.
Shiv Sena women wing president, Meenakshi Chibber and general secretary, Vikas Bakshi were also present in the press conference.
