JAMMU, Nov 28: Congress candidate for Jammu West Assembly Constituency, Surin-der Singh Shingari, today appealed the people of the constituency to vote and support him promising them that if elected he will make honest and effective effort to turn the constituency into a modern one in the State.
Continuing his door to door campaign in Ward No 16, New Plot of the constituency, he urged voters to bless him with their votes so that he may continue their service in more effective manners. He said from 6 years the winning candidate from BJP did not bother to come in the constituency even to have a back up on the condition of the constituency which he was representing.
He assured the residents that he will make honest and effective effort to turn the constituency into a modern constituency in a State.
He said that he is contesting the election on the issue of service to the people with strong determination and a sense of responsibility. He appealed to the people that they should come together above party politics to vote for merit of the contesting candidate who has a record of being a public servant.
He said that he has come up from the below and not impasse from above without consideration of merit by the party.
JL Koul, MR Sharma, Padmani Langeh, Som Raj, HS Mehta, Vishu, Madam Raj Bakshi, Madam Kanta Bhan and Madam Tamana were accompanying Shingari.
