JAMMU, Nov 28: Independent candidate from Udhampur Constituency, Pawan Kumar Gupta, today said that its time we give democracy a true opportunity to make a difference in our lives.
He said that political parties are made up of people and hence, it’s important to lift the veil of branding and see who truly will hold the reigns of development. Vote for a candidate only if he deserves it, he added.
He was speaking during public meetings at Bali Nala, More, Ambedkar Chowk, Upper Kawa, Air force Station area, Industrial Estate and Trikuta Ice factory.
He asked people to not get influenced by freebies and alcohol, which are being freely distributed by some of the political parties but give democracy a true opportunity to make a difference in their lives.
He also announced that he will be at their disposal 365 days for 6 years whereas star campaigners of these parties will come probably once or twice in the constituency. I am in politics for not any personal gain, but pain that comes seeing the backwardness of our constituency, he added.
