R S PURA, Nov 28: Intensifying his election campaign in RS Pura, former Chief Secretary and independent candidate from this constituency, B R Kundal (MLC) addressed several gatherings at Kotli Shah Daula, Kirpind and other adjoining villages and sought public support.
During campaign large crowd accorded warm welcome to Mr Kundal at Kirpind and Kotli Shah Daula. Panchs, Sarpanchs, locals garlanded and welcomed him. Amid sloganeering and drum beats, Mr Kundal addressed huge gathering and appreciated them to repose their faith in him.
While addressing the gathering, Kundal said that he has been attached with Simbal camp from very beginning. He castigated various political parties for exploiting people just for political gains. He further said that people are wise enough to choose their candidate for their overall development. “I have done many developmental works like repair and construction of lanes and drains, improved water, electricity supply to make the constituency progressive,”, he added.
He said that in 1983 ICDS Social Welfare Scheme was launched and he gifted that scheme to masses. He further said that he has built 10 cremation grounds in RS Pura as human beings are mortal and the last place must be kept in good condition as he did during his tenure as MLC.
“Mostly the people of RS Pura speak Punjabi language and it’s very pathetic that children do not have Punjabi curriculum in schools”, he added.
