POONCH, Apr 9: An extra ordinary meeting of Shia federation Poonch unit was held at Imam Barah, Surankote under the president ship of Syed Zaki Haider of its district president wherein religious as well as social issues related to the community were discussed at length.
The special focus was given on the forth coming three days religious function (Barah) which is scheduled to be organized at Plera in the first week of May 2015. In this regard some important decisions were taken by the participants. For the welfare of the society some important issues pertaining to religious as well as traditional education, the dowry and illegal expenditure on marriage ceremonies, reduction in the unemployment, economic growth and over all development were also discussed.
While expressing the views Dr Ameer Jafari general secretary assured that burning issues will be discussed in the District level meeting which is scheduled to be held on April 19, 2015 wherein some important decisions will be taken for the welfare of the community.
