Seven injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Aug 21: Seven persons were injured today in separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, three girls and a woman were injured this morning in collision of two scooties near City Square here in Jewel area. The injured girls have been identified as Shreya (20) daughter of Brij Mohan of Kacchi Chawani, Shagun (18) daughter of Rajinder Gupta of Rehari, Nousheen (20) daughter of Sheikh Malik of Amphalla and Aina (19) wife of Paramvir Rathore of Sidhra.
A 38-year-old woman identified as Reeta wife of Ram Lal, a resident of Trikuta Nagar, was also injured when she fall from a moving scooty at Gandhi Nagar area of city outskirts.
A pedestrian this evening got injured here in Bus Stand area after a bike hit him while crossing a road. The injured has been identified as 88-year-old Fataz Ram son of Gussi Ram, a resident of Panjor in Udhampur district.
A pillion rider identified as Monika (40) wife of Surinder Singh, a resident of Talab Tillo, was also injured when the scooter she was going on with his husband, was hit by an unknown car at Domana area of city outskirts.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
