PHE workers discuss demands

JAMMU, Aug 21:  A meeting of executive members of PHE Workers Welfare Association was held under the chairmanship of Bakshi Singh, provincial president of the Association, today.
The meeting discussed the problems of employees and workers and stressed upon the Government to resolve the genuine demands without delay.
The demands highlighted in the meeting were regarding disbursement of regular monthly wages to all sorts of daily rated workers before 5th of every month, release of pending wages up to 24-30 months in favour of all the daily rated workers working in the department, framing of concrete regularization policy for daily rated workers working before or after 1994, enhancement of daily wage at least Rs 15,000 PM, holding of DPC twice in a year constantly to avoid any type of stagnation.
Subash Verma, general secretary of the Association said that association is committed for the cause of the workers and will struggle to make the long pending genuine demands resolved. Adding he said that it is the right time to resolve the issues and demands which stands already discussed and principally agreed by the concerned authorities but it is unfortunate that nothing has been done so far and the poor and innocent workers are facing so many hardships to make both ends meet.
Other present in the meeting were Rattan Doshi, Manzoor Ali, Ram Labhaya, Babu Singh, Bansi Lal, Baldev Singh, Kuldip Khajuria, Chuni Lal, Ravi Kumar, Kuldip Sharma, Varun Dogra, Puran Chand, Bhanu Partab Singh and Ramdev Singh.
