Seven gamblers held with cash, playing cards

JAMMU, June 30: Janipur police today nabbed seven gamblers with a cash amount of Rs 1.05 lakh and playing cards.
The accused persons were gambling in a house of one of the accused namely Vikram Kumar son of Joginder Kumar of Shant Nagar, Old Janipur.
The other accused were identified as Vikrant Singh son of Ghar Singh of Lower Roop Nagar, Rajiv Sharma son of Omkar Nath of Panjthirthi, Ritiq Mahajan son of Parkash Gupta of Janipur Colony, Subash Chander son of Tej Raj of Janipur Colony, Rahul Sharma son of Sham Lal of Shivalik Puram and Surinder Kumar son of Mohan Lal of Janipur.
In this connection, a case vide FIR number 81/2021 under Section 3/4/5 of Gambling Act was registered in police station Janipur and further investigation initiated.
The arrest and recovery was made by a team of police station Janipur headed by SHO Police station Janipur Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO Rahul Nagar.
