Doda: A series of activities including Volley ball and Kho-Kho matches, drawing and painting competitions were held here today under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP).
The events were organised under the chairmanship of District Election Officer here at higher secondary school Boys in collaboration with District Youth Service and sports Office Doda.
The District Election Officer and other participants threw light on the importance of vote and encouraged the young eligible voters to opt for registration as voters. The form No. 6 (addition in electoral rolls) and pamphlets regarding the schedule of summary revision were also distributed among the participants.
ACR Doda (Deputy DEO) Tariq Hussain Naik,, Principal HSS Boys Tanveer wani, DEPO Doda, Angraz Singh, Election Naib Tehsildar, Election Staff of District cell and hundreds of students and Staff members of different schools were present at the awareness programme.
The Govt HSS Boys emerged winner in volley ball whereas in Kho-Kho title was won by Govt HS Ghat.
In painting, Shaheen Public HSS Doda got the Ist position, whereas GHSS Doda and Boys HSS Doda were declared 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In the end, District Election Officer Doda and ACR Doda distributed prizes among the winners.
