Security of State can’t be put on trial: BJP

JAMMU, Mar 26: Leader of BJP Legislature Party, Ashok Khajuria today said the security of the State and lives of people cannot be put on trial as suggested by the CM in Legislative Assembly yesterday. He termed the CMs suggestion childish and immature.
Addressing the media persons at a press conference, the BJP leader put the record straight on CM Omar Abdullah’s objectionable remarks in Legislative Assembly regarding withdrawl of AFSPA from the State on trial basis.
Khajuria, who was flanked by State Chief Spokesperson, Dr Jitendra Singh, asked Congress to respond on CM’s statement that Defence, Foreign and Telecommunication are the only departments which link the State of J&K with rest of India. The Chief Minister should not forget that State’s economy is totally dependent on Central funds and Congress should explain why it is not objecting to it, he added.
He also announced, on behalf of his group of BJP MLAs that the daily protests by them in the premises of Legislature Assembly will continue till the suspension of Jugal Kishore Sharma is revoked.
He alleged this is a part of a larger conspiracy by the ruling party to keep the opposition out of Assembly while the NC-led Government pursues its anti-India and pro-separatist agenda in the Assembly to gain political mileage over PDP with an eye on the 2014 elections.
Singh said that this is a unique example in the history of pro-independence India where a State Assembly is openly putting on record its anti-India and divisive agenda while the Govt. of India is turning a blind eye.
