JAMMU, Mar 26: Prof Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party called on Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and submitted a memorandum demanding immediate dismissal of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for his alleged acts of omissions and commissions in utter violation of the Constitution.
In the memorandum, Prof Singh sought immediate intervention of the Union Home Minister to stop infiltration of Pakistani militants in the guise of so-called Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy. He explained that the so-called Rehabilitation Policy adopted by Omar Abdullah’s Government was meant only for surrendered militants in the State and not applicable to foreigners (Pakistanis) as is the Liaqat Ali Shah case.
Raising several important questions before the Union Home Minister, the NPP leader urging the former to intervene without any delay to save the unity and sovereignty of India which has been threatened by Omar Abdullah heading the Government in J&K. “Continuation of Omar Abdullah’s Government shall be disastrous for the unity of the country and peace in the State as he has openly challenged the authority of Union Government and policies”, Prof Bhim Singh asserted.
Meanwhile, in Jammu, JKNPP held a protest demonstration near Press Club against the statement made by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in favaour of Liaqyat Shah and challenging the Accession of the J&K State with Union of India.
They raised slogans against Omar Abdullah for giving safe passage to the militants from across the border and challenging the Accession of the State with Union of India. They also torched an effigy of Omar Abdullah.
The protest demonstration was addressed by Anita Thakur, Faqir Nath, Pushvinder Singh Manhas and others.
