School staff, others booked in cheating case

JAMMU, Sept 18: School staff along with others booked in cheating case by RS Pura Police.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged at Police Station RS Pura by a person namely Rajat Singh, son of Parshotam Singh of Makdoom and other students of 12th class stating that board fees of Rs 1500 per student along with forms were handed over to Ajay Kumar, son of Vijay Kumar (Peon Government Boys Higher Secondary School RS Pura ) but now the date sheet was out and inspite of depositing fee and forms, no roll numbers have been allotted to these students which are mandatory to sit in examination.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 191/2021 under Sections 419 and 420 IPC was registered at Police Station RS Pura and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Station RS Pura led by SHO Inspector Jai Pal Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan arrested the accused involved namely Ajay Kumar.
Father of accused Vijay Kumar (peon), Lab Assistant Prithpal Singh and some teachers were questioned about the same and more arrests may take place.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
