Sanskrit Regional Conference at Jammu tomorrow

JAMMU, Mar 15: Sanskrit Bharti, in association with Sanskrit Department of Jammu University, is going to organize first of its kind “Sanskrit Regional Conference” here on March 17.
Vice Chancellors of several reputed Universities, Sanskrit scholars, prominent citizens, literary figures, students and public are going to participate in the day-long mega event, which will be held at Jammu University.
This was informed by Dalip Chandervanshi – Prant Organiser of Sanskrit Bharti (J&K), while addressing a news conference, here today.
Sanskrit Bharti has been working for the promotion of Sanskrit language all over India and at global level since 1981 with its Head Quarter in New Delhi along with 43 centres in different States of India and more than 20 centres worldwide. “Sanskrit Bharti’s main objective is to restore the pristine glory of this most ancient divine and mother of all languages and make people friendly with Sanskrit so that they can understand, adapt and speak this language without hesitation in their day to day life,” said Dalip Chandervanshi.
Sanskrit Bharti State secretary Purshottam Lal Dubey gave a detailed information of this upcoming Sanskrit Conference. He said that Science in Sanskrit exhibition along with showcasing of rare Vedas, Granth and other ancient books in Sanskrit will be held in first session at 10.30 am onwards, which will be followed by lectures of eminent Sanskrit scholars on special topic – “Sanskrit Bharatam – Samarth Bharatam”, open talks in second session and finally holding of Sanskrit cultural program containing songs, drama and dance.
Justice (Retd) G D Sharma –State Patron- Sanskrit Bharti, who was also present in the press conference, informed that with sincere efforts of Sanskrit Bharti members , millions of people across the globe are speaking Sanskrit fluently and speaking Sanskrit brings changes in life at both physiological and psychological level . Stating that even Western world – Britian, America, France. Germany were showing a lot of inclination towards learning Sanskrit, he lamented that unfortunately we Indians and our Governments were not giving it the importance it deserves.
State President of Sanskrit Bharti Dr Vishawmurti Shastri along with State Convener- Anil Swaraj and Publicity Incharge Dr Pramod Shukla, extended an open invitation to all Jammuites to participate in this Maha-Kumbh of Sanskrit and get connected with the roots of their ancient traditional common – mother of all languages – Sanskrit and know about the traditional heritage of India.
Himanshu (Vistarak Mahnagar), Om Parkash Buria, Shreyansh Jain, Ajay and Rahul Thapa were also present in the press conference.
