JAMMU, Apr 22: Shri Sanatan Dharm Sabha Jammu and Kashmir has appealed Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board to come to the rescue of schools run by the Sabha owing to financial constraints.
Informing this to media persons, president of the Sanatan Dharm Sabha Jagdish Dogra said that a resolution in this regard was adopted during a general body meeting of the Sabha yesterday.
“Keeping in view the poor financial position of the Sabha and changing education scenario as well as the requirements, we appeal the Shrine Board to come forward and help these schools, which are functioning for the last more than hundred years,” he said and explained that the Sabha was particularly not in a position to fulfill the requirements under SRO 123, issued recently by the State Government.
Mr Dogra said that the Sabha also adopted some other resolutions condemning recent attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
“We demand formulation of National Rehabilitation Policy for Refugees till the honourable return of Hindus to Bangladesh and Pakistan,” he said and added that the Government of India should challenge the non-implementation of bilateral pacts with Pakistan and Bangladesh in the International Court of Law.
