SAMBA, Apr 16: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba police has foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba and rescued two bovines from the clutches of smugglers.
Acting on information received from reliable sources, a police party of Police Post (PP), Rakh Amb Talli of PS Samba has successfully foiled bovine smuggling attempt and rescued two bovines which were being smuggled during the intervening night of April 15 and 16 by foot via the Kalibari area. All the rescued bovines have been shifted to safer place, police said.
Police said a case FIR No. /2026 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started.
