Samba police rescues 15 bovine animals

SAMBA, May 30: District Police Samba once again succeeded in foiling bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 15 bovines late last night.
A Police Party of PP Supwal  headed by SI, Javed Iqbal, incharge Police Post Supwal  under the close supervision of  Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba, laid a surprise naka at National Highway Nanke Chak, Samba and intercepted one Truck bearing Registration Number JK08BP-5686 that was coming from Kathua side.
During checking of the vehicle, 15 bovines were rescued which were being transported illegally without any permission. Police Party seized the vehicle on the spot.  In this regard a case FIR No. 89/2018 under Section 188/RPC, 2/3 PCA Act, stands registered at P/S Samba and investigation started to nab the driver.
The drive against the bovine smuggling has been launched in the district under the overall supervision of Anil Magotra, SSP Samba.
