SRINAGAR, Mar 30: Police arrested four gamblers and recovered stake money of Rs 7,900 from the gambling spot in Awantipora area of Pulwama district today.
A Police spokesman said that after acting on information, a police party of Police Station Khrew headed by SHO Khrew, Javaid Ahmad raided a gambling site at village Sharshali Khrew and arrested four gamblers.
“Stake money of Rs 7900 and playing cards were recovered from the spot. A case under relevant section of Gambling Act has been registered in Police Station Khrew and investigation was taken up,” he said.
