MENDHAR, Mar 19: With the burning of transformer at Lower Salwah village of Sub Divsion Mendhar , the public is without power for the last about two weeks.
The people of the area who are facing lot of difficulties due suspension of power supply during these days when their children are taking final examinations. The locals have repeatedly approached the senior PDD officers at Mendhar and Poonch but the supply could not be restored even after 15 days. The transformer is still at the same place.
One Haseeb- ul- Rehman, a local social activist said that PDD officials have not given proper attention to their problem and they are being forced to agitate on roads.
They appealed to the Chief Engineer PDD Jammu to issue instructions to the concerned officers to replace the burnt transformer.
