REASI Oct 3:- Various programmes and functions were organized by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in connection with its 89th Foundation Day today.
On the occasion traditional Shastar Poojan was performed and path Sanchalan (full dress route march) was taken out by RSS activists at different place of district Reasi to mark the celebration of the day.
At Reasi the Shaster poojan and route march was taken out by the activists of the Sangh. Rajesh Ji, Rajya Pramukh Dharma Jagran Samanway Vivagh was the chief guest on the occasion who also participated in Shastar Poojan at Ram Lila Ground.
Later the route march by RSS volunteers also started from there and it after passing via Chowk Chabutra , Old Bazaar, Nai Basti, Bus Stand, culminated at Ramlila Ground later.
Speaking on the occasion Rajesh Ji said that the founder chief of RSS Dr Hedgevar had laid the foundation of Sangh on the Dussera at Nagpur in 1925 to unite Hindus all over globe. He said Sangh since then has performed a vital role in strengthening unity and integrity of the Nation, promoting brotherhood and also fighting casteism.
Stressing on strengthening Shakhas (RSS drill) he said the Swayamsewaks have more responsibility on their shoulders at present as country is facing more challenges today than it was facing during pre -independence or post independence days. MLA Reasi Baldev Raj Sharma also participated in the event in full dress.
In connection with the observance of Foundation Day of RSS route march was held at Kathua where the Prant Sangh Chalak Brig (retd) Suchet Singh was the chief guest.
He highlighted the objectives of Sangh and said that Sangh activists are wedded to selfless service of nation. He said the dream of RSS Founder Dr Hedgevar and Guru Ji will only be realized after India becomes Vishaw Guru again.
He said the Sangh is role model for the people as it lays foundation of disciplined life which in turn can make nation strong.
Another function was held at Bari Brahmana in which Sangh Karivah Parshotam Ji was the chief guest and main speaker.
