JAMMU, Nov 16: Special Judge Anti Corruption Sanjeev Gupta has ordered Deputy Commissioner, Samba to cooperate fully with the State Vigilance Organization and furnish the relevant revenue record for the investigation.
The order was passed in a case filed by Ajaat Jamwal through Advocate Rakesh Chargotra.
Special Judge Anticorruption viewed the non-cooperation by Deputy Commissioner, Samba very seriously and said, “the status report filed by Vigilance Organization reveals that investigation is moving at snail’s pace due to non-cooperation of revenue officials particularly DC Samba”.
“Keeping in view the magnitude of the scam which is self explanatory from the status report, it is hoped and expected that DC Samba shall cooperate fully with SVO by furnishing the relevant revenue documents”, the court said, adding “the SVO in its status report has mentioned that many letters have been written to DC Samba regarding providing names of the members of the Approval Committee under Roshni Scheme so as to fix the liabilities of delinquent officers but the reply is still awaited”.
