UDHAMPUR, Dec 1: Monthly meeting of J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of J&K UT President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma highlighted the issues of the cadre and said that many left out graduate and undergraduate teachers who have acquired qualification from outside the State recognized universities have not been converted to Teachers Grade II / Teachers Grade III due to which their salaries are pending since March 2019 onwards.
He said that recently regularised ReTs are also without salary since March 2019 as they haven’t been converted to Teachers Grade II /Grade III and these teachers and their families are on the verge of starvation as they are unable to provide basic necessities of life to their family members. He urged the Director School Education Jammu to fix the meeting of Divisional Level Committee this week and convert all the left out teachers to Teachers Grade II / Teachers Grade III including recently regularised ReTs.
He further said that Director School Education Kashmir isn’t sanctioning the cases of time bound promotions of teachers of Kashmir province and there is also huge pendency of Teachers Grade II and Teachers Grade III due to which teachers are suffering badly. He urged the Director to address these grievances of teachers and resolve them within 15 days otherwise Forum will be forced to protest in front of Directorate of School Education Kashmir.
Lekh Raj Parihar, while speaking on the occasion, appealed the Director School Education Jammu to release the salary of Un-regularised ReTs as they are without salary for last 9 months and suffering badly. He also appealed to regularise the left out ReTs.
