Retirement age

Sir,
It is a fact that most of the Govt employees of J&K State are in favour of increase in retirement age from the existing 58 years to 60 years. Also it is a fact that the unemployed educated youths of our State are against the increase in retirement age and rather demanding reduction in retirement age from the present 58 years to 55 years.
I have a suggestion in  this regard to the Govt of J&K State that instead of increasing or decreasing the retirement age of Govt employees, the serving tenure of each employee irrespective of cadre whether gazetted or non gazetted, in Govt. job should be fixed and it should be either 30 or 32 years and the retirement age should be 60 years. If anybody who gets Govt job at the age of 20 years, the Govt should retire him when he completes his 30 years or  32 years i.e. at his age of 50 years or 52 years respectively and if he has a caliber after retirement, he should join private job. If the other person who gets his Govt. job at the age of 28 years, the Govt. should retire him at the age of 58 or 60 years. If anybody who secures Govt job at the age of 31 or 32 or 35 years, the Govt. should also retire him when he attains 60 years age. Nobody should be allowed to continue after 60 years age. By fixing above criteria of fix tenure in Govt. job of 30 or 32 years, majority of the youths shall not be after the Govt. job from their age of 18 or 20 years and they can patiently wait for a Govt. job up their age of 28 or 30 years.
It is a fact that the unemployed educated and unsettled youths tend to indulge in anti-social activities and also it becomes the duty of elders who are in Govt. job to think about unemployed educated youths of the State for the development of the State and nation as well.
The J&K Govt. needs to take bold steps like one step already taken i.e. Ban on the re-employment of Govt servants after their superannuation, without caring for the protests from those who are only after the increase in retirement age. Also if the Govt. is bold and caring for the development of the J&K State and country, the above fixed tenure can be both for the existing Govt. servants irrespective of cadre and those who have to enter in the Govt. job.
Yours etc….
