ReT Forum demands release of salaries

UDHAMPUR, July 5: A monthly meeting of All J&K RET Teachers Forum was held under the chairmanship of Vinod Sharma, State president and district president, Lekh Raj Parihar, today.
While speaking Sharma said that 3rd Teacher are without salary for last 5 months and as such they are suffering a lot. Also regularized RET Teachers under SSA are without salary since March 2015 and pay arrears of Education Volunteers are also pending for 8 months.
He said that in this regards, they met  Education Minister and MOS Education at Srinagar last week, but still they have not received their salaries. He appealed the Education Minister to intervene personally to clear the pending salaries of 3rd Teachers and SSA Teachers who are under burden of loans from banks and markets.
He also appealed him to release the funds under MDM Scheme for last one year which the teachers have been managing from their own pockets and by taking loans from the market for the smooth implementation of MDM scheme.
He also appealed Finance Minister to get the bills cleared of Rs 73.09 crores from Treasury which are meant for SSA salary and release other grant under SSA and non plan scheme so that thousands of RET/3rd Teachers may not suffer any more. He also appealed Director School Education Jammu to issue regularization orders of RET Teachers whose files are lying in the directorate office for last more than 6 months.
The meeting was attended by the delegates of the RET Forum from  all the Eleven Zones of district.
