JAMMU, Mar 27: J&K Reserved Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) has expressed concern over the non-implementation of Presidential order regarding restoring of promotions for the employees of Scheduled Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribe (STs) categories in J&K.
In a press conference here today Sham Lal Bassan, leader of JKRCEA said that Governor, Satya Pal Malik should personally intervene and direct the State bureaucracy to rescind the Government circular that hinders reservations in promotions for SC and ST employees of the State.
Bassan alleged that few bureaucrats are creating hurdles in the way of reservations in promotions for SC and ST employees though the President of India has ordered the promotions for such employees.
He said that if such bureaucrats didn’t mend their ways then there will be an agitation demanding implementation of President’s order regarding reservations in promotions for SC and ST employees.
Bodh Raj Bhagat, Mohinder Bhagat, Prof G.L Thapa and others also spoke on the occasion.
