Resolving public issues top-most priority of BJP Govt: Col Mahan

KATHUA, Oct 5: Col (Retd) Mahan Singh, DDC Chairman, Kathua today said that BJP Government at the Centre is credited with resolving public issues on priority across the nation and this is the reason behind its spectacular success in various polls held in the past.
Col Mahan said this while addressing public Sammelan to take stock of problems of the people of Samman Panchayat at Jandrota in Basohli.
Continuing with his working style, the DDC Chairman took up the initiative of resolving almost all the issues on the spot by directing the officials of different departments to mitigate the problems then and there. Sushma Jamwal, BDC Chairperson, Kewal Singh Kissan leader, Davinder Singh Sarpanch, Kuldeep Singh, Rajinder Kumar and around 200 villagers including men, women and youth were present during the Sammelan.
The issues raised during the public meeting include dearth of potable water, power outage and dwindling voltage supply, demand for constructing road to SC Mohalla and Morha Bloo and a veterinary clinic in the area besides permission to extract minor minerals from Dalli Khad to carry on construction activity.
Col Mahan assured to address the issues which require more time for execution. He assured that every problem and issue raised in the meeting will be projected at the concerned quarters in the right perspective and sooner than later the affected people will see the results on ground.
Meanwhile, the DDC Chairman also addressed a public meeting at Plahi Panchayat. BDC Chairperson, Sushma Jamwal besides Sarpanch, Panchs and sub division officer accompanied Col Mahan during the meeting.
The locals raised specific issues of public interest in the meeting including overhauling of PHE edifice in Ward No. 3, water tank near tube well in Ward No. 4, construction of road upto Stadium in Pathera, improvement of road from higher secondary school to Parthu, uninterrupted power supply especially in the Ward Nos. 2, 3 and 5, installation of high value power transformers in Ward Nos. 2 and 1 as the voltage glitches are irking the locals especially the students and aged. The issue of old age pension to eligible beneficiaries was also highlighted in the meeting besides dearth of facilities in CHC Hospital especially ultrasound.
