DODA, Aug 2: The residents of Soti Changa area of Sub Divison Gandoh held protest against the district administration and Forest Department.
A large number of residents assembled at Soti Changa and raised slogans against the district administration and Forest Department for failing to complete the construction of road from Soti to Javeli via Kokati.
The protestors said that the construction work on the second phase of road from Soti to Javeli via Kokati was stopped as Forest Department failed to give No Objection Certificate (NOC).
The road is lifeline for thousands of people and also connects to the beautiful tourist destinations Jawali and Padhri, they added.
The protestors appealed to the Governor Satya Pal Malik to intervene and direct the concerned authorities for the completion of this road in shortest possible time.
“If no step has been taken for the completion of this road, we will intensify our protest and for any untoward incident, the Governor’s administration will be responsible”, the protestors warned before dispersing.
