JAMMU, Apr 30: The residents of Tehsil Bani held protest and blocked the Bani-Basohli road against the GREF for delaying in widening of Bani road.
The protesters assemble on Bani road and raised slogans against the GREF authorities. They also burnt the tyres and blocked the vehicular movement.
The protesters including Raj Singh, Kartar Chand, Moti Ram, Gopal Dass and Thakur Dass widely criticized the working of GREF on widening of Bani-Basohli and Bani-Chattergala road.
They allegeded that due to slow pace of works, the local people are suffering a lot, adding that due to the ongoing work that too on snail speed, accidents are taking place on this road everyday.
They appeal to the Governor to intervene into matter and direct the GREF authorities to speed up the widening work of the road.
