JAMMU, Dec 5: Reserve Bank of India conducted one day sensitization workshop at J&K Grameen Bank, Head Office, Narwal here today.
The workshop was conducted by RBI’s team for sensitization among the Branch heads and other dignitaries of the Bank, under the chairmanship of JR Angural, Chairman of the Grameen Bank.
The officers from RBI imparted training regarding financial inclusion, financial literacy initiatives and guidelines, innovative technologies and products for financial inclusion, role of effective communication in imparting financial literacy to target groups, capacity building of business correspondents and knowledge regarding the latest digital banking products.
Davinder Bali, General Manager of the Bank thanked the team of RBI for arranging such a symbiotic and effectual workshop for the Bank and enlightening the staff of J&K Grameen Bank with the latest trends in the fields of financial Inclusion and digital banking.
RS Koul, Principal Staff Training College expressed his gratitude to the RBI panel for convening the workshop and hoped that this will add-up to the banking knowledge base of the Bank’s staff which shall gear-up the overall business of the Bank.
Earlier Satya Narayan, General Manager, RBI, Jammu in his inaugural address expressed his hope that this programme shall go a long way in giving push to the financial literacy and financial inclusion drive of the RBI/Govt.
